The honest answers to the questions a careful reader asks.
Do I get a trial?
Yes: 14 days of full access. A card is required at sign-up, and you pay €0 during the trial: 10 papers every weekday, on the web and in your inbox, with the Read on every paper we can ground in the source. When the fourteen days are up, your card is charged €49/year (locked for life for founding readers) and your daily brief simply continues, unless you cancel before then. Cancel anytime. One paper a day stays free to read for everyone.
What do I keep after the trial?
Your first fourteen days are the full Pro brief, so you can answer this from your own reading before your card is charged. Your subscription keeps everything the trial had: 10 papers every weekday picked for your subspecialty, the headline plus the bottom-line takeaway and its weakness or caveat on every card, evidence grade, bias signals, effect size, and sample size, what each finding means for your practice, the prior-evidence framing, the deep clinical Read on every paper, ranking that adapts to your ratings, unlimited saved topics, and access to every brief since you joined. After the trial it simply continues at €49/year unless you cancel; if you cancel, your library and ratings stay where they are, and one paper a day stays free to read.
Can I trust the summaries?
Every number, dose, and drug name in a brief traces back to a value extracted from the source paper. Nine deterministic checks run on every brief before delivery: schema, forbidden phrasing, editorial quality, fact-check, drug safety, device safety, an observational-causation guard, number policy, and take-away faithfulness. If a check fails the brief is rewritten; if rewriting also fails it falls back to a deterministic template populated from the source data, and the brief is marked so you see which tier produced it. We never paraphrase what the paper didn't say.
What happens to my reading history?
It's yours. Settings → Export ships you a JSON of every paper, rating, bookmark, and saved topic. Delete your account and everything · including your Stripe customer record · is erased within 24 hours. We keep no shadow copy.
Which subspecialties are covered?
All ten ophthalmology subspecialties are live today: cataract & refractive, cornea & external disease, glaucoma, medical retina, surgical retina & vitreous, uveitis & ocular immunology, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics & orbit, pediatric ophthalmology & strabismus, and ocular oncology. Other specialties follow once launch settles.
What if I cancel?
Cancel anytime in the billing portal. You keep the full brief until your renewal date · after that the daily brief stops. Your library, ratings, and saved topics stay where they are, and one paper a day stays free to read. Reactivate in one click before the year ends, or in 90 seconds after.
Does the founding price go up later?
No. The founding price is locked for life. Keep your subscription and your renewal stays at €49/year, even after the standard price (€99/year) opens for new readers. The locked price follows the subscription, not an introductory year.
Is this medical advice?
No. rounds. is an editorial reading product for qualified physicians, not a clinical decision-support system. Verify any finding against the source before you change practice.
